Remote Check Printing

As PEO/ASO customers demand more functionality through the cloud, Remote Check Printing has become a more popular option.  DarwiNet Client Self-Service allows the PEO/ASO's customer to print checks themselves without any cumbersome file transfers or software to install.

Once payment is received, or whatever the internal business process requires, the PEO/ASO simply presses a button to release the checks to the customer web portal for printing.

The check printing is a secured procedure - a reprint requires permission from the PEO/ASO.

Holiday Hours

ThinkWare Holiday hours - ThinkWare's office will be closed on Thursday and Friday November 27th and November 28th for the Thanksgiving Holiday. We will also be closed on Wednesday December 24th and Thursday December 25th in observance of the Christmas Holiday; and, on Thursday, January 1st in observance of the New Year Holiday. As with all holidays, Emergency Support will be available via pager (513-598-3300) from the hours of 9 AM until 2 PM EST for Application Support and 7 AM until 2 PM EST for Technical and DarwiNet Support. There are options on our automated phone system that allow you to select Technical Support, Application Support, or DarwiNet Support according to your question. Our phone system will page an appropriate Representative and he/she will then call you back. Note: E-mails received on a holiday will not be processed until the following business day.  ThinkWare will be closing at 5:00pm EST on Friday December 19th for our Annual Christmas Party. Third-Party Sick Pay Recap

The IRS has released the 2014 Form 8922, Third-Party Sick Pay Recap. At APA’s 9th Annual Capital summit, the IRS announced that, beginning with tax year 2014 (reports filed in 2015) , the IRS would take over responsibility for accepting and processing third-party sick pay recap reporting from the Social Security Administration (SSA; see PAYROLL CURRENTLY, Issue No. 4, Vol. 21). ACA Reporting

Whatever your feelings are for the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), it presents both challenges and opportunities for the PEO/ASO industry.  Customers will now be looking to the PEO to provide them crucial information about whether they are meeting the mandated requirements of small, medium and large size businesses.

At ThinkWare, using feedback from our clients and our client based steering committee, we are closely monitoring these requirements and adding functionality to allow our customers provide this service to the businesses that count on them for Payroll and HR functionality.


As you can see above, we provide a library of Reports to determine employer size, whether or not insurance meets the affordability standard required by the ACA and other critical information. 

In addition, the PEO can run "what if" scenarios for clients that will allow them to determine if wage increases and premium changes will maintain affordability into the next year.

Using this in a demonstration company can allow sales reps to be armed with ACA sample reports when they go on sales calls - highlighting the differentiation of services their PEO can offer versus the competition.

In addition, this information is integrated into our DarwinCRM Workflow module - so automatic alerts can be sent internally or to the client when statuses changes, or a critical value is hit.

Outlook Integration with the Darwin Business System

If your company uses Microsoft Outlook to manage email and calendaring, you will love the native integration the Darwin Business System for PEO/ASO's provides.

Outlook is not required to use many of these features (workflow and automatic emails for example), if your business happens to use Outlook, integration is already prepackaged and supported by our system.

Simple Workflow Creation

The Darwin Business System allows for the creation of simple and complex workflows by the end user - very little technical skills required.  This video shows how to create a simple email alert based on data changing for the employee record.

In this case, the employee State Address is changed, and the Tax department is alerted via email to verify if any other changes are needed.

Financial Integration in PEO Software
